FDM 3D Printed Polyurethane Injection Mold
TU Delft Robotics Institute
This is a 3D printed mold to cast soft polyurethane into the shape of a balloon, to be used as the membrane of an "Universal Gripper". I designed and produced the mold for my researcher colleagues at the TU Delft Robotics Institute. Once printed, the mold core (shown in the image on the top) is glued together and the central nozzle is used to inject the plastic. The mold is clamped together with fasteners during the curing process.
